air fryer avocado fries

Air Fryer Avocado Fries are a deliciously crispy twist on a healthy favorite. Creamy avocado slices are coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and air-fried to golden perfection—crunchy on the outside, smooth and buttery on the inside. They're great as a snack, side dish, or fun appetizer, and they’re easy to make in under 20 minutes with just a handful of ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm avocados
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: cooking spray for air fryer basket

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. Lightly grease the basket with cooking spray if needed.
  2. Slice avocados in half, remove the pit, and carefully peel the skin. Cut each half into 4–5 thick wedges.
  3. Place the flour in one shallow bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third.
  4. Dredge each avocado slice first in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with the seasoned panko. Press gently so the breadcrumbs stick.
  5. Arrange the breaded avocado slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 7–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the air fryer and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat: Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F for 3–4 minutes to restore crispiness.
Freezing: Not recommended, as avocado may become mushy after thawing.
