Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish (8x8 or similar).
In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and BBQ sauce until smooth. Stir in the shredded chicken, cheddar, mozzarella, green onions, and a bit of salt and pepper. Add hot sauce if using.
Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
Remove from the oven, top with additional green onions if desired, and serve warm with chips or dippers of your choice.
