Slice the English muffins or bagels in half and toast them in a skillet or toaster until golden brown. Spread butter or mayonnaise on each side for extra flavor.
Heat a small pan over medium heat. Melt a little butter and crack in the eggs. Cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still slightly runny. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of the toasted bread. Add crispy bacon or a sausage patty, followed by the cooked egg. Top with the remaining half of the bread.
For an extra gooey sandwich, place it back in the pan over low heat for 1-2 minutes to let the cheese melt. Serve immediately and enjoy!
