Ingredients

  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup strawberry preserves
  • Crackers for serving

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine shredded cheddar, cream cheese, and mayonnaise. Mix well until smooth. Stir in garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper for a slight kick.
  2. Place a sheet of plastic wrap on the counter. Transfer the cheese mixture onto it and shape it into a ring. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  3. Unwrap the chilled cheese ring and roll it in chopped pecans, pressing lightly to coat evenly. Transfer it to a serving platter.
  4. Spoon the strawberry preserves into the center of the cheese ring, letting it slightly drizzle over the sides. This adds the perfect touch of sweetness!
  5. Serve the cheese ring with an assortment of crackers or toasted bread. For an extra flavor pairing, try it with Cheesy Bacon Bites.
