Ingredients

  • 2 ciabatta rolls or sourdough bread
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast sliced
  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • 4 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Slice the ciabatta rolls in half and drizzle the inside with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper for extra flavor.
  2. Place mozzarella slices on one half of the bread. Add the sliced chicken, followed by tomato slices and fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with balsamic glaze for a tangy kick.
  3. Top with the other half of the bread and gently press down. Make sure all ingredients are evenly spread for the perfect bite.
  4. Heat a panini press or grill pan over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the press and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. If using a grill pan, press down with a spatula and flip after 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, let it cool for a minute, then slice in half. Serve with a side salad or chips for a complete meal!

  • Make-Ahead: Assemble the sandwich and refrigerate until ready to grill.
