Ingredients
  

  • 2 hoagie rolls
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking for about 5 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the sliced chicken. Season with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for 7-8 minutes until fully cooked and slightly browned.
  3. Reduce heat to low and place provolone slices over the cooked chicken. Cover the skillet for about 1 minute until the cheese is fully melted.
  4. Toast the hoagie rolls lightly. Add the sautéed onions and peppers on top of the cheesy chicken. Press the sandwich together gently.
