Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces 🥩
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil 🫒
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice 🍋
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce 🍶
  • 1 tablespoon honey 🍯
  • 2 cloves garlic minced 🧄
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder 🌶️
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for extra heat 🔥
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter for cooking 🧈
  • Fresh cilantro & lime wedges for garnish 🌿🍋

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, lime juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, salt, and black pepper. Add the steak bites and toss to coat. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for deeper flavor).
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add butter. Once hot, add the steak bites in a single layer (cook in batches if needed). Sear for about 2-3 minutes per side until caramelized and cooked to your desired doneness.
  3. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.
  4. Serve with rice, tortillas, or roasted vegetables for a delicious meal.
