  • 1 pound pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • For the Filling:
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix 🧀
  • 6 slices cooked bacon crumbled 🥓
  • 1/2 cup cooked breakfast sausage optional
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • For Topping:
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning optional

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat, cook eggs until just set, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove eggs from heat and set aside.
  4. Sauté bell peppers and onions until soft.
  5. Roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
  6. Spread scrambled eggs evenly, followed by cheese, bacon, sausage (if using), bell peppers, and onions.
  7. Carefully roll up the dough, tucking in the sides to seal.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Place Stromboli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds or bagel seasoning.
  11. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Let Stromboli cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
