Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pizza crust or 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce

Method

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). If using pizza dough, roll it out onto a greased baking sheet. Pre-bake for 5 minutes for a crispier crust.
  3. Spread a thin layer of refried beans over the crust. Evenly distribute the seasoned beef on top, followed by shredded cheese.
  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  5. Top with diced tomatoes, black olives, green onions, and shredded lettuce. Slice and serve warm!
