Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 lb ground sausage cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg beaten (for brushing)

Method

  1. Cook and crumble the sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease, then mix it with softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles on a baking sheet.
  3. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll up tightly, starting from the wide end, and place them seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  4. Brush each crescent with the beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and flaky. Old-Fashioned Goulash is another comforting recipe to try!
  5. Let the crescents cool for a few minutes before serving. They pair perfectly with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a hearty breakfast!
