Ingredients
Method
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and roll them into loose balls. Do not compact them too much—this keeps them juicy.
- Preheat a cast-iron skillet or griddle over high heat and add vegetable oil. The surface should be very hot before adding the beef.
- Place a beef ball on the hot surface and smash it down using a spatula or burger press until it’s very thin. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy, then flip, place a cheese slice on top, and cook for another minute.
- Butter and toast the buns, then assemble the burger with your favorite toppings. Serve immediately and enjoy!
