Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup strawberry preserves
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 6 squares. Place a spoonful of cream cheese filling in the center of each square and top with a teaspoon of strawberry preserves.
  3. Fold the pastry edges inward to create a small border around the filling. Brush the edges with egg wash and bake on a lined baking sheet for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  4. Whisk together the powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze. Drizzle over the warm Danishes and top with fresh strawberry slices. Enjoy!
